Website Design for The New Forest Marque

The New Forest Marque website received major transformation to bring it in line with their new branding. In addition to a new look, additional functionality was required and was implemented effectively to ensure simplified navigation for the end-user.

The New Forest Marque is awarded to produce which has been grown, reared, caught, brewed, produced, or processed within the New Forest so the site also included a brand new membership area as well as an improved search functionality for their listings.

A huge 'thank you' to Rebecca and Purple Dog from the New Forest Marque
 
At the start of January 2021 our initial elation at being awarded a Solent LEP Restart and Recovery Grant was somewhat tempered when the award stipulated that all work had to be completed within a month. As part of the grant application, Rebecca at Purple Dog had scoped out high-level requirements to enrich our existing website to incorporate a merchandise selling page that could be used for our members to not only sell some of their own products but also for the New Forest Marque to start up a quarterly subscription service offering regular home delivery of our members produce. 
 
Despite numerous other commitments, within 3 weeks  Rebecca had designed the shopping functionality with Stripe payment facilities and Woocommerce Plugins for Xero accounting and shipping/distribution. Any tweaks that we raised to Rebecca when testing the Beta version pre-go-live were swiftly corrected. Responses were immediate and the quality of work fantastic. The award of the grant and the work that Rebecca and Purple Dog have done together allow the Marque to take a huge step forward for 2021.
